Giant and Weis Gift Cards
Did you know there's a way to DONATE MONEY TO YOUR CHURCH, and STILL HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT LEFT IN YOUR POCKET? Sound too good to be true? Read on...
Both Giant and Weis supermarkets will have a program where they will donate a percentage of the purchase price to churches buying the gift cards. Giant will donate 5% and Weis will donate 10%. Cards are good for any purchase in the store. They come in various denominations from $20 to $100. This is how it works:
Shiloh purchases gift cards from both Giant and Weis. Every Sunday between services, gift cards are available from a Shiloh member at a desk in the lobby. You purchase, for example, a $20 gift certificate. You spend it and get $20 worth of groceries. $19 of that will go to Giant, and $1 goes to Shiloh. (And if you shop at Weis, they get $18 and Shiloh gets $2)
Sounds like not much? We have received thousands of dollars already, and this had been a big help. However, with participation of more members, there is potential for greater income. If you'd like to regularly purchase a certain amount per month, you can fill out an order form, and they'll be ready when you arrive. Cards may also be picked up on a weekday if you need to, by calling the church office in advance at 275-1943. If you have any other questions, please ask at the gift card desk in the lobby, or call the church office.
