8:00am every Sunday - Traditional Worship

In the United Church of  Christ, we recognize these two sacraments as outward and visible signs of the grace of God.

We baptize infants because baptism with water and the Holy Spirit is the mark of their acceptance into the care of Christ's church, the sign and seal of their participation in God's forgiveness, and the beginning of their growth into full Christian faith and discipleship.  Later, when they are ready to accept the Christian faith as their own, they will affirm their baptism in the rite of confirmation.   We also baptize older children and adult believers.  If you desire baptism for yourself or a family member, please contact the pastor.

In Holy  Communion we join together to share in the Body of Christ, the living bread, and the Blood of Christ, the saving cup.  We celebrate the sacrament  about once a month and also for most special seasonal  services.  All who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are welcome to commune with us.

Child Care is available during the 10:30 service, and our Lullaby Room is available at all times for parents' convenience.  For details, see our Children and Youth Page.

Hospitality Hour -  You're invited to join us each Sunday in the lobby after either 8:00 and 10:30   worship  for coffee, refreshments and fellowship.    If you'd like to sign our guest book, it is also located in the lobby.

                                                MUSIC MINISTRY

The majestic sound of our organ, the congregation singing traditional hymns, the flute or oboe, children singing "Jesus Loves Me", youth with guitar singing the latest songs from camp, Christian rock CD's from the teen class - you may hear all of this at Shiloh, for a common purpose - to give glory to God.

The Children start off Sunday mornings together during the school year with lively songs that help them worship, belong and learn God's word.  Older children may join the Chime Choir.   Both groups share their music with the congregation several times a year.

The Olsen Bell Choir participates in either the 8:00 or 10:30 service  two or three times a month, and their beautiful music is especially appreciated around holidays.  Youth and adults play the three octaves of this handbell choir.   They rehearse Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The Sanctuary Choir is part of 8:00 and 10:30 Sunday worship most weeks
and is made up of men and women who sing traditional  and modern music, usually in four-part harmony.  Rehearsals Tuesdays 7:30-8:30 p.m.

The Men's Choir participates once or twice a month, and they enjoy singing traditional favorites.  Rehearsals Tuesdays 8:30-9:00 p.m.

Special Music has included a flute quartet, piano,  traditional and contemporary vocal soloists and groups, and praise choruses with guitar accompaniment.  Often families share their musical gifts together.

Mrs.Kay Shulski is Director of Music, and directs the four choirs.

Dr. Myra Wilkerson  is the Church Organist

The choirs are a friendly group of people who work hard but have fun together, and they welcome new members at any time.  We invite your participation in the music ministry.
