Ministries Shiloh has ministries for people of all ages and needs. For more information about any listed below, or if you have another specific need, please call the Prayer Link - We regularly pray for physical, emotional and spiritual healing of those who are ill or bereaved, for the encouragement and comfort of those going through other difficult times, and for general needs in the community and the world. If you have a specific prayer request, please contact the church office. Keep us updated - we also like to hear about answered prayer! Members who wish to join the prayer link should call the church office. For information about our monthly Prayer Breakfast, see our Calendar. Visitation - for the sick, elderly and those with other special needs, at home or in hospitals or nursing homes, is done by the pastor and lay pastoral assistants.
Shiloh Bus - We provide bus transportation, which includes a wheelchair lift, for those in need of this service. Rides are offered to both Sunday services, Sunday school, as well as special services on request. Shiloh adult and youth groups also take the bus for retreats, mission trips, concerts and other events. Members who would like to help with the bus ministry should contact the church office for information about training. Bible Study and Book Discussion and other Groups - Click on our Calendar for dates, times and locations of various morning, noon and evening groups. Newcomers welcome any time. Sunday Adult Classes - meet all year round at 9:15 am. Coming to an adult class is a great way to learn as well as to make friends. Newcomers are invited to come at any time. For further information on classes for children and youth, see our Children and Youth page.
Our Libraries house a variety of books, videos and tapes appropriate for all ages, and available for lending. The Reinmiller Library-Lounge is located in the education wing across from the infant nursery. The Children's Library is at the opposite end of the long education hall. Children and Youth - Shiloh offers a wide variety of programs for infants through teens and their parents. For more information click on Children and Youth. Shiloh Opportunity Circle, a social and mission group, is open to all women. We meet once a month, usually on a Monday morning through lunch time. For the next meeting time and date, call the church office. Guest speakers and special programs will be announced, and will be listed on the Calendar. Several times a year, we sponsor social activities such as picnics where families are invited. SOC is very involved in many of the mission projects you can read about on the Outreach page. Women's Spiritual Formation Group The purpose of the group is to help us become better disciples of Christ, and to encourage one another. All women are invited. We use the Renovare' model for spiritual formation groups, as outlined in the books of Richard Foster, James Bryan Smith and others. "Do I have to know a lot about the Bible?...be intellectual?...be sure about all my beliefs?...spill my life story?...pray in front of everybody?...lead the group?...sit on the floor?...hug strangers?..." Music - for information on our music ministry, see the Worship page Outreach - For information about how we extend our ministry to the local and world-wide community, please see our Outreach page
